About Kentucky Bluegrass
Kentucky Bluegrass is a well-known, perennial cool season, sod-forming grass that comprises most of the turf areas in the cool, temperate zones of the United States. Likes sun and is somewhat shade tolerant, but not drought tolerant. Rhizomatus root system that concentrates mainly in the top two inches of soil. Highly nutritious grazing value, but forage yield is low compared to other pasture grasses. Very good spring and fall growth, but goes dormant quickly in hot, dry months. Perennial.
